We work with customer-supplied devices and also offer modernized periscopes and sights from our own production ready for installation.

What is Optical Device Modernization

Modernization of a periscope or sight is a set of works to upgrade an existing device by replacing or adding individual components. Unlike repair, the goal of modernization is not restoration but improvement of characteristics beyond the original specifications.

Upgrading optical devices extends the service life of equipment and adapts it to modern requirements without full replacement of the device.

What We Offer

G&K performs modernization of periscopes and sights for NATO vehicles and post-Soviet armored vehicles. Depending on customer requirements, installation of additional components and replacement of optical elements with modern equivalents of improved characteristics is available.

Each optical device modernization project is reviewed individually. We select solutions according to the vehicle type, operating conditions and customer objectives.

Modernization Capabilities

Depending on the device type and customer objectives, upgrading a periscope or sight may include various improvement options. Among the most common requests we receive:

Optical quality improvement. Replacing optical elements with modern equivalents can enhance image clarity and improve periscope or sight performance beyond original specifications.

Installation of additional components. Sight modernization may include installation of additional equipment to expand the functional capabilities of an existing device.

Adaptation to modern conditions. Upgrading optical devices for armored vehicles includes adapting existing solutions to current operational requirements.

Each solution is agreed with the customer following technical analysis of the device.

Order a Modernized Unit

In addition to modernizing customer devices, G&K offers the option to order a periscope or sight in an already modernized configuration from our own production.

Modernized optical devices for armored vehicles from G&K are products with enhanced characteristics ready for installation. Periscope and sight manufacturer in Ukraine with own production facilities and self-manufactured optical components.

If a standard solution is not sufficient, we will develop an upgraded sight or periscope to individual customer requirements.
